Have You Done a Sister Check-in Lately?

I love when my friends and I get together for girl’s night. Great fun and laughter over food and drinks is always the way to renew our spirits after a long week at the office. I do not know about you all, but the pandemic has put a damper on our meet ups and outings. This is one of the downsides to social distancing. It keeps us away from our close family and friends. But you can always pick up the phone and call or face time. Sometimes people do not have the ability to stay focused and cheerful during these times.

Even though we may be apart, the separation does not have to keep us distant. It is always a good idea to check on our sister friends to make sure that they are managing their health and wellness properly. A friendly and familiar voice can be just what the doctor prescribed to get someone through each day. It could be that much needed push to motivate a person. Sometimes we can easily fall into the monotony that comes with each day. This can cause us to lose ourselves in the daily pressures of life.

We must have an outlet to keep us going. It is great to have an amazing family and siblings to talk to, but judgement can easily set in during certain situations. Friends are there for unconditional love and truth as well and it usually comes judgement free. A great way to get together as a group is by using Zoom.

This app allows you to physically see each other and talk by using any smart phone. I love using this because I can get together with my friends and family without being in the same room. So, there is no danger of catching or spreading COVID-19. It is amazing! Whenever we use Zoom, we talk for hours at a time and have a blast. We can even have dinner together while being in separate places.

Do not let different locations keep you apart from your people. We all are designed to commune and have contact with other humans. It is a great time to come together and share what you have been dealing with daily as well as the thoughts and ideas that you may have been brainstorming. There is a time and place for being alone and having self-reflection but let us not allow our sister friends to be consumed by loneliness. Check in on your friends, girl. Let us make a vow to keep each other grounded and rooted in love.
