Your Child's Education Is At Stake

We became fully aware of the COVID 19 pandemic in March of 2020. It caught all of us off guard and it seems as if that next week we were on lockdown. This impacted the entire world as we knew it and many adults were afraid and confused. If this was a high-level impact for grownups, imagine how children felt when they started hearing the news. This created a fear that most children have never felt. They were also told about things that may have never been discussed with them before like wearing a mask every time you go out, illness, and death.

As a result of the negative impact that COVID 19 had on our entire world, children have suffered like never before. They were thrown into a situation that was hard to comprehend for most adults. So you can imagine how it felt for kids to be immediately pulled out of classrooms, locked in their homes, and kept away from their daily social life and education.

I am not sure about others, but I have worried tremendously because my child has not adapted well to this new atmosphere. I cannot help but wonder how this will impact her in the future. Adapting to this change has taken an emotional and physical toll on all of us, but especially the kids.

Originally going into this, the experts could not give us a timeframe regarding when this would end. I have always been open and honest with my kids. The only thing that I can say is that we must listen for updates and be vigilant in following the rules placed by the state and the CDC.

I do understand that most children are resilient, but there are some that are not. I make it a practice to tell people to look at the glass as half full, not half empty, in anything that you encounter. I make it my business to keep positivity at the forefront no matter what the situation is. To put a positive spin on this, I have decided to create supplemental education worksheets to help every mom with small children.

I personally worry that my daughter is not getting the information that she needs by listening to her teacher on the computer each day. I am thankful that she is graduating this year, so her journey is almost over. But for those parents who have younger children, their basic foundation is at stake. This is vital because this information will carry your child through life and sustain them as they go forward to learn material in the upper grades.

I am giving you access to purchase printable worksheets for grades first through third. Again, there are always programs that you can create for yourself or sign up with that will allow you to access more as your child needs them. The printable education worksheets can be used to assist with the curriculum that is given through online learning with their teacher. This is needed because the simple fact is that some kids are either bored or distracted while trying to learn on the computer.

We must work doubly hard to keep our children on task when it comes to this issue. My hope is that we can work together to keep our children on the levels where they need to be. We do not want them to return to school, after COVID 19, and relearn things that they were already taught. By adding this small addition to their daily curriculum, we can hopefully combat any retention issues they may be facing. Remember that it takes a village to raise a child. Their education is not just the teacher’s responsibility because learning starts at home.
